Brighton New Church, dedicated to St. Peter

BPC00364

Aquatint engraving by M U Sears of London and published in C & R Sickelmore’s Descriptive Views of Brighton, c1830.

The view is looking down Richmond Place towards Grand Parade. The building far left is Waterloo Place which today is just at the end of the Lewes Road as it joins Richmond Place. In the 19th century the architectural views and vistas around Brighton were uninterrupted by the many trees that we have today.
