Steel engraving by Newman & Co, Watling Street, London, c1860.
The scene is the same view as in BPC00167, looking due north, up Paston Place from Marine Parade. The Bristol Hotel is on the left and the first house in Eastern Terrace is on the right, but the hospital has been enlarged beyond the Adelaide and Victoria Wings. Indeed the full width of the hospital building can no longer be seen from this southern end of Paston Place.
