This is a copperplate etching by Edward William Cooke (1811-1880), from his Sixty-five plates of Shipping and Craft. London, 1829 -1830. This plate is number 1, published London, 1 August 1830, with the artist’s initials.

Edward William Cooke, R.A., F.R.S., F.Z.S., F.S.A., F.G.S. (27 March 1811 – 4 January 1880) was an English landscape and marine painter, and gardener. There are 66 Cooke paintings in public UK collections, including five in The Tate Gallery.
