St. Peter’s Church, Brighton

BPC00366

Steel engraving published by William Leppard, 17 East Street, Brighton, 1 June 1841. This example is a letterheading. The paper is watermarked 1841. BPC00367 is the same print, but not showing all of the letter paper.

On the left is the end of Waterloo Place and the start of Richmond Place. To the right of the scene is York Place, and the gap in the building line, just as the church obscures the view, is probably Trafalgar Street, as it intersects York Place and St George’s Place.
