Aquatint engraving after George Earp Jnr, published by W H Mason, 81 King’s Road, Brighton. Published between 1839 and 1848. The scene shows good views of the Albion Hotel in the distance, the end of the cliff face steps down to the eastern entrance to the Chain Pier promenade, and the pier head assembly rooms with the camera obscura pipes.
