Steel engraving by W J Alais after W A Dellamotte. Published by W Grant, 5 Castle Square in his booklet Six Views of Brighton, c1845. Park Crescent is a horseshoe arrangement of 48 houses designed by A H Wilds and commenced in 1849. Wilds was 65 years old at this date and this was his last major development in Brighton. The Crescent was finished in 1854 and Wilds died in 1857. The development was on the site of the Royal Cricket Ground, featured in the print of ‘Sussex v Kent’ (BPC00139).
