This subject was originally in aquatint, drawn by Edward Fox and first published by C & R Sickelmore in their Select Views of Brighton c1827. This illustrated edition of the scene has been re-engraved, in a smaller size, as a steel plate line engraving by James Shury after T Phillibrown, also published in 1827, but in James Taylor’s Royal Brighton Guide.
