Brighton Royal Pavilion

BPC00287

Copperplate line engraving from Sickelmore’s Descriptive Views of Brighton, 1824. The plate was then used for Sickelmore’s History of Brighton 1827, and his Brighton and its Environs, 1830. W Saunders then took the plate on and used it in his Stranger’s Guide in Brighton of 1837 and 1839.

There are 13 lines of text giving dimensions of many of the rooms. This plate is the second edition as the final lines of text advertise Sickelmore’s History of Brighton.
