From the series ‘Album de Brighton’, drawn and published by Messrs. Berthou & Georges, Brighton 1838. The series comprised 6 plates, each with 5 vignettes and two smaller incidental images. The scene shows the Regent Hotel on the left, with guests and a stage coach, William IV’s newly constructed South Gate to the Pavilion estate, then the Castle Hotel on the right.
