Chain Pier, Brighton

BPC00096

Lithograph by George Childs, published by Dobbs & Co, c1840.

There are listed three other Childs lithographs published by Dobbs, all similar in shape and size, but with no artists named; maybe it was Childs himself. George Childs (c1799-1875) was a fine landscape artist and was the lithographer for R H Nibbs’s large view of Brighton from Hudson’s Mill, and for David Mocatta’s view of Brighton Railway Station, published by Ackermann in 1841.
