This shows the eastern side of BPC00449. Immediately on the left are the final houses of Richmond Place, with Richmond Street just around the corner (unseen in the print and now called Richmond Parade). Today Richmond Parade is quite short, ending with modern flats, but a few yards further on, a small section of Richmond Street remains, going up the hill to join Queen’s Park Road. In this view, the two sections of gardens are North Steine (but not named as such today). The next section of houses, looking out over the gardens of North Steine, is Grand Parade, which continues on to overlook the farther section of the North Steine Gardens.
